Heida on the Radio - RUV/RAS 2

Every Saturday night, Heiða has her own radio show. Channel RAS 2 of the Icelandic Radio (RUV).

Næturvörðurinn kallast næturvakt Rásar 2 á laugardagskvöldum frá klukkan 22:00 til 02:00. Umsjónarmaður er Ragnheiður Eiríksdóttir, alltaf kölluð Heida . Næturvörðurinn hefur verið í loftinu síðan á vormánuðum 2002 á hverju laugardagskvöldi, með ársleyfi frá 2004 til 2005.

Iceland Airwaves 2005 - Hellvar played at Grand Rokk

Hellvar played the 2005 Airwaves Festival @ Grand Rokk. The audience was not big (because Juliette Lewis and Band were playing at the same time in the Reykjavik Art Museum) but the small audience enjoyed their gig of 30 minutes.

Bio
Hellvar are Heida Eiriksdottir and Elvar Saevarsson from Reykjavik, Iceland. They compose on guitars, computers and their friend, the drummachine. Elvar plays the guitar, among many things and Heida plays the guitar and sings. Their music history stretches back to the 90s, when they were all in punk rock bands in Iceland. After meeting at the Philosophy Department in the University, Heida Eiriksdottir and Elvar Saevarsson decided to make music together, after travelling around Europa founded Hellvar. In Reykjavik, Heida also runs 3 radio shows.

Before Hellvar there was Unun

Heida was the singer of the band Unun.

He is world famous in Iceland for writing the "farting song", Prumpufolkid, on the best Icelandic CD for children (but also their parents) Abbababb! Dr. Gunni og vinir hans syngja og leika fyrir bornin.

Heida sings 2 songs on this CD: "O kisa min" og "Systa sjoraeningi", and also backing vocals.

Thor Eldon was the guitarist of The Sugarcubes, the ex-husband of Bjork Gudmundsdottir, and the father of Sindri.

Hellvar @ Gaukurinn @ Airwaves 2006

On Sunday 22.X.2006, Hellvar performed on stage of venue Gaukurinn, Reykjavik. This was the final night of the Music Festival Iceland Airwaves.
The "Airwaves" are organized by Mr. Destiny since 1999.
I took some pictures of Heida and her band Hellvar, with her husband and a former member of Bjork's favourite Icelandic band HAM.
