Sverrir's Old Band Texas Jesús is Back

The band Texas Jesús is back (in rehearsal space). Kicked off in 1990 under the name "Ástardúettinum Siggi og Sverrir". Changed their name in Texas Jesús, after the David Koresh tragedy @ Waco, Texas in 1993.
Released a Cassette "Nammsla Tjammsla", recorded @ Framsóknarhúsinu í Keflavík (100 copies + 100 copies extra).
Played concerts in Denmark & Finland in 1996.
CD in 1996: "Jæja Vinur".
Cassette & CD are now collector's items.
Siggi is the singer of the band Croisztans, and Sverrir is now the bass player of the band Hellvar.
Ragnheiður Eiríksdóttir aka Heiða í Unun was often supporting the band.
Probably they will organize a concert/some concerts next year.

Review of Hellvar @ Airwaves '08 by Taunt

My first stop was Tunglid to check out Hellvar, whose new album, Bat Out Of Hellvar (ZING!), is ultra catchy and a total worthy purchase. Like a lot of Icelandic rock/pop, this band has a bit of an 80’s synth-pop influence, but minus the kitsch.
