Hellvar on Tour in China (2008)

第三個演出的團體是來自冰島的「Hellvar」，此時的我決定也進入到搖滾區之中，一起真正的體會這場活動，所以後面也沒有影片的分享了！Hellvar的主唱在一上台之後，很感性的說了，「這是我第一次到達亞洲，這是我第一次到達中國，這更是我第一次站在這個台上，因為這三個第一次，所以我相當的感動。」於是全場氣氛再次沸騰！

De erfenis van The Sugarcubes wordt tegenwoordig uitgedragen door Hellvar: een potig kwartet-met-drummachine dat de hoogdagen van de new wave in de herinnering roept en een zangeres in de gelederen telt die, qua stemtimbre, enigszins aan de jonge Björk doet denken. De cd Bat Out of Hellvar is echter veel meer dan een anachronisme en ook de open repetitie die we van de groep meemaakten in de kantoren van het Kimi-label klonk zeer overtuigend.

Hellvar @ Kimi Records Space @ Iceland Airwaves '08 Slideshow

Hellvar gave a very private show @ the rehearsal space/Kimi Records office @ Smidjustigur 4a (next to Grand Rokk Venue), Reykjavik.
In the audience: Alex of the band Kimono, Magnus of the band Dyrdin, and Dirk Steenhaut of the Belgian Newspaper De Morgen; he has a long interest in Icelandic music (as me).

Hellvar Airwaves '08 Videos

Hellvar played 7 songs @ ex-Gaukurinn venue, now called Tunglid (The Moon). Tunglid was the name of another famous venue spot downtown Reykjavik until it burned down.
"Nowhere" of their Debut Album "Bat out of Hellvar", released last year on Baldvin Esra Einarsson's Kimi Records Label. It was the first release of this label based in the capital of the North, Akureyri.
